Are you saying the bowling ball itself is cracking, or are the stones/marbles cracking?
If it is the bowling ball doing the cracking , the culprit might be temperature extremes. Even not knowing what part of the world you are in , this would still be my guess. The marbles also heat up with intense sunlight and can generally add a temperature increase. Here is a link on bowling balls:

Hi, I would have used an adhesive or glue that I use for mosaic. Check out my post:
https://karupp-did.net/mosaic-monogram-wall-art/
In that post, you will see the adhesive I use. It's called weld bond. It says it can be used with wood, tile, glass etc. Then I would use a good grout. The reason the grout is cracking is because the adhesive is not working well enough and the stones are loosening up. The bowling ball is stable enough and does not have any give....so the issue is probably all in the adhesive. Good luck!
Hello. That can happen outside— I had a candle holder with mosaic tiles and it fell off as well.
Your tile adhesive probably is not meant for outdoor exposure something stronger made for outdoor use possibly a construction adhesive or liquid nails might be a better choice. You would have to check the specifications on your outdoor glue to be sure it will fit in your climate and temperature extremes.
Hi, this is Peggy, sorry you are loosing your marbles, this year has made most of us loose ours too Hope this helps you. I've made loads of garden balls with marbles on bowling balls, oversize Christmas balls, styrofoam balls and even round lamp globes. I use Silicone II adhesive (you can get it in caulking gun tubes) or E6000 jewelry adhesive. Both are very smelly so work in a well ventilated area.Jun 21, 2015

Hi Bjbolling, it sounds like the adhesive you used may not be holding, hope this helps you out,

Try power grab. It’s an exterior grade adhesive.
Did you seal the whole thing when you made it? I wonder if that would help
Hi, you need glue that's water-proof and dries clear. Tile adhesive tends to move/expand with big changes in temperature. Placing your stones on the bowling ball can also be tricky. You need to find an edge that has the biggest surface area that touches the bowling ball and glue that edge down. This Faberge mosaic has a whole bunch of tips that will help you mosaic on a curved surface - https://acraftymix.com/blog/mosaic-curved-surface-faberge-egg/
Loctite construction adhesive in a caulking tube. There are several kinds. Home Depot and Lowe's carry them all. Easy to apply with caulking gun.
What about super glue
