How to compose herbs?
Hello! I want to make a composition of herbs in one place. I saw people growing them in the basket - it looks gorgeous. I am looking for more inspiration. I know that not every herb can be planted together so if you have any objections please tell me. I was thinking about putting different basils in one pot like in here: https://gardenseedsmarket.com/home-garden-basil-variety-mix-for-indoor-and-balcony-cultivation-great-basil-saint-joseph-s-wort.html . What do you think? OR is it better to put all the herbs together and do not divide them?

Hi Josie, many herbs are beautiful and can be mixed together well. I find I like to separate them for easy clipping and use but you may prefer to do othrwise. Here's an article that may be helpful to you. I believe you will receive several opinons pro & con to growing them together and/or separately. The great thing about this is that it is totally YOUR choice and it may take some experimenting for you to decide which way works best in your world. :)

Hi,
If you know your herbs well and don't need them labelled then mix them up for a pot- pouri of herbs. If you want them for cooking purposes then it is easier and quicker to separate them and label. Enjoy!
If you have the room, I would love an herb garden like this; all together but divided at the same time:

This year I planted mint right next to oregano. My Oregano has become a little bit of a hybrid. It tastes a little minty. HA. If you can keep all the herbs together in one place and divide them at the same time, that would be ideal.
Love this idea too:

I would put all of one kind in one area and plant remaining in their own planter/section. That way there is no impact and you know what is in each area. I would get confused otherwise.
I love the look of the one pot for different varieties of the same herb!

I plant cilantro, basil and thyme all in one raised patio planter, and they all grow well together. You can check out my raised garden patio planter in my summer raised herbed garden post. Good luck!
Hi! I put them in small pots in a basket or on a tray, so that I can water them individually and repot them if necessary. Good luck and stay safe!
You could make a trellis and grow herbs all over it or a wood fence with pockets and hang the herbs from it
You could grow them in pots and then you could grow whatever you want since they'd have their own spaces. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/plants/growing-kitchen-herb-in-containers-8545281
