How to winter hanging basket ?
I have a very large hanging basket of verbena and petunias bought at Lowe’s. No saucer. Outdoors I just let it drain in plastic saucer but when I bring in, I need a saucer I can attach. I bought largest hanging basket saucer w/ holders. Too small. Any idea what I may buy, to attach to my basket to get it through winter? Thanks in advance. Diane

Are you wanting to still hang it inside for the winter? Can you just take the hangers that are attached off and use the potted plant in a dish on the floor or in a stand? That is what I usually do. I buy a thick plastic saucer to put under it and take off the hangers. Hoping I am understanding your question correctly.
Use the bottom of a take out container the round black part plastic thete great for plants
Would chargers work? If so, you can pick some up at Dollar Tree.
Hi Diane, can you use a pie plate? You can get either a disposable one that would be very light or you can get a vintage tin one and either leave as it or paint it. It may be larger enough to help.
You could maybe use a $1 ceramic plate from the Dollar Store.

There will be so many end of season sales on summer planters now - maybe you can repot it in something with a tray attached. :)
Measure how large you need the saucer, then check at garden center or buy one on Amazon?
I put a clear Pyrex pie plant under mine! Can buy cheap at thrift store or garage sale!
You want to hang your planter and you need something on the bottom to catch the drips, right? Could you attach a plastic plate or bowl to the bottom of the planter with wire going from the top rim of the planter down around the bottom of the plate/bowl and up to the top of the rim , repeating this on the other side so you have two wires going down and up. I don't know if you can picture what I am saying.... I think you could use stout string or twine instead of wire. Might even be able to use wire like your hanging planter has and it will look uniform. Just continue your wire going into the top of the planter, down around the drip pan and up the other side. I believe most hanging pots have three wires from pot to ceiling. Hope I haven't confused you too much. I too love plants and bring mine in every fall, though don't have any hanging plants.
If you can't attach anything to the bottom of the pot itself, perhaps you could just use a large dish to catch the water underneath as you water and then put something really large like a plastic sled on the floor to catch anything that still drips. I know it isn't ideal, but without a larger pot, I don't see a great solution.
