Spooky Halloween Light
Using just a tree branch and a battery operated candle , you can create a cool and spooky wall light , that you just might keep up all year !
First you need to get a branch ...
You can trim a shrub or tree in your yard or take a walk and find
one . In my case , my husband brought me a dead branch he trimmed off one of our bushes , he thought I might want to use it for a craft project !
I certainly did , I just wasn't sure
for what yet , so it sat on an old trunk ...Just waiting ...
Now find a spot that you would like to hang your light . Keep in mind , you want it high enough , not to poke anyone or get in the way . If you use a lightweight branch you won't need to place it on a stud for support , if the branch you pick has some weight to it , make sure you attach it to the studs !!! Once you've picked out a spot , play around with the branch and figure out which way you want it to hang . Then using a pencil lightly mark the wall in 2 spots where the branch touches the wall . Pick branches that would be good to support it . Then put a screw in the wall at those 2 spots .
Now , rest your branch on the screws . Adjust the depth of the screws so that the head of the screw rest against the branch , giving it added support .
In the picture notice the difference in the depths of thghe screw .
Here the branch is hanging on the wall.
Now , balance a battery operated candle into the cluster of branches .
We were happy with the look , but we weren't prepared at how amazing this looked at night , when the candle turned on .
Unfortunately , the pictures truly do not do it justice !!!!!!
Here is a video of how the spooky light looks with the flickering battery operated candle .

I love this! I get a steady supply of branches of all sizes and shapes cuz we have ancient trees in our yard. I just picked some up and have them on the porch. I guess I better get busy! I think I will do faerie lights and leave it up. We don't do Halloween cuz we live in the boonies and no trick or treating, unfortunately. I love natural! Thank you for sharing! 🌻💜🌈🕊️✌️😊
