Quick! You Need This! Now!

Construct a 12-Foot Ghost for All to See…Shoot…This Could Almost be seen on Google Earth!

It is So, So Simple to Build. And the Cost??? Almost Free!

MATERIALS:

  1. Scrap Lumber – 3 pieces
  2. Gauzy Net Ikea Drape Panels – 1 Pair
  3. White Garbage Bag filled with Newspaper
  4. Battery Fairy Lights – 1 strand

Let’s Go!


Find 3 pieces of Scrap Wood. 2 at 10 feet long and 1 at 3 feet long.


Perfect for a 12-Foot Ghost!

Connect the 2 Longest pieces and nail. Add the cross piece.

This is the Armature of the Ghost.

Fill 1 White Plastic Garbage Bag with newspaper. Fill it up so it’s firm.

This is the Head of the Ghost.

Use the Bag Ties to secure the bag to the “neck” of the armature.

Gauzy Net Ikea drapes (cheap, cheap, cheap – long and flowy) for the Body of the Ghost.

(Cat Helper is Not Recommended for this DIY) 🙂

To create a flowy Ghost Body, Thread twine through the channel of the panels – tie to make a ring.

Now for the MAGIC…Add 1 set of Battery Fairy Lights!


Battery Fairy Lights – Amazon LINK.


Drape lights over the head and allow to dangle down to the “feet”. Secure lights to the head with clothespins.

The Crowning Touch…Drape the Netting over all.


Hot Glue the Blackest Black Hollow Eyes and Mouth to the Netting.

Secure the Ghost Outside and Get Ready for Nightfall.

BOO!

    I agree with William that these days there are too many inflatables, which just don't have the same creative character as diy decorations. Your ghost is eerie, fun, easy to make, and inexpensive. You nailed it!
