Free Paint Gives New Life to Ikea Hemnes Bookcases

I had two dark brownish black Ikea bookcases but they didn't look right in my recently purchased mobile home. Florida needs a brighter look even though I'm not on the coast. But, I also needed to do it on a budget.
As I am in a great 55+ community with over 1500 sites I used our private Email to ask residents if they had any leftover paint they didn't need. I was so surprised by the results. I had a great selection of paint in a matter of 2 days.
One was a 5 gallon white latex paint nearly full. I mixed the white with a partial can of blue. Then I just added small bottles of craft paint to achieve the aqua color I wanted.
My sister is lightly sanding the surface.
Almost done with one coat.
