You can, but you won't be able to get into the grooves of the wicker. Spray paint is a better choice.
Hello. Using a marker might be a spotty application of color. Spray paint might be the best choice I have spray painted wicker furniture many times before using several light coats effectively
Hi! If you are looking for a wash type look, the upper layer of wicker should be easy to do. Even easier for the same look would be paint and a brush. Spray paint will give you more complete coverage. Good luck and stay safe!
spray paint for sure is going to be much better
That will take a long time and the results will be spotty - you won’t be able to get into the tiny grooves. Grab a can of spray paint!
spray paint. Will be faster and look better!
here is info for you and I agree, markers will not give you a consistent look and will take a long time to do as well

I would use spray paint to get the color I want.
I would use spray paint. I've done it on wicker and it works great...quick too!
I too vote for spray paint!!
Paint will give you better covereage but a marker will make the finish effect appear more translucent.
Do you have a spot on the wicker where you can try the marker just to see the effect without it showing?
I would use spray paint
I’d use spray paint myself but yes, you could use a marker. Make sure the marker is a permanent type.
