Make sure to double check with your gas company. Ours are s read via satellite so it can be covered behind a fence panel but not to the point it isn’t visible for reading.
A 3 sided light removable cover out of wood, plastic fencing would be fine. Anchor it to rebar and pvc to easily lift off of the ground but keep it from blowing over. Make sure you know where the gas line is before you do so. You could also just add a few small boxwood that don't grow very tall. Again... know where the gas line is.
Had you thought to use a Large Box to do the job decorated to your taste, otherwise make a framework and use board to fix to it or if you are coning to that trouble, make a framework on the wall around the Gas Meter and board in the sides and hang a door to the front! Best wishes.
Hi Barbara: You can make a fenced in area out of that plastic lattice that comes in 4' by 8' sections. If you get 2 and cut them in 1/2, you will have four 4' x 4' sections. If that's too wide or tall, you can just cut them to the size you want. Pound 4 fence stakes into the ground and attach the sections. Good luck
I know in my area (Ga) you can't cover a gas meter or electric meter because they need access to them to read the meters so check with your utility companies first
In Oregon people that read the meter have to have access to be able to see this and sometimes they read the meter from a distance and have to be able to see the meter to do so.
Have you called your gas company and asked them about hiding the gas meter?

Hello could a vine possibly disguise the meter?
It is against code here to cover your meters. But you can put a bush around them go figure.
No "covers" on meters here. Check with your utility company first. See what they consider allowable.
In Oregon people that read the meter have to have access to be able to see this and sometimes they read the meter from a distance and have to be able to see the meter to do so.

Hi Barbara, hope this helps you out, it seem fairly easy,

Hi Barbara, sorry you are dealing with a large gas meter. Remember you must have a way for the gas company to read your meter. Hope this helps.
