Painted Shower Tile
I want to paint the shower tiled floor?
Hello Joye,
Best to buy a Brick and Tile Paint. Make sure it will be non slip! Otherwise if your tiles are smooth you could Stencil a pattern or use self adhesive tile covers here and there to change the look!
Here is a procedure on the how to's, along with what they recommend, I am not sure how well marine paint would hold up:

the info I am finding doesn't recommend marine paint for inside a shower - there are many paints out there for painting tile that is safe -
You need an epoxy paint to paint tiles. Marine paint is not an epoxy.
I recommend an epoxy paint.
Yeah, for something like that, I would use a product specifically for bathroom tile.
Homax and RustOleum make a kit made specifically for bathroom tile. I would go with one of those. We have used RustOleum a few times. Make sure you vent the area well, wear a respirator, and follow directions carefully. Also, get some help because it is best as a 2-person job.
Hi Joye, you might look into using a Rustoleum product made especially for this. I've yet to be disappointed in any Rustolem product, if used according to the directions. Here's some info.....

Im sure it would work, but some marine paints have lead in them. Check this out before using in a shower
Hi Joye, I don't know how well the spar would hold up, you may get lucky, there are lots of tile paints out there that are designed to get wet and last. That being said, hope this helps you out,

Why would you put a file in a shower?
Rustoleum or Homax tub and tile paint.
I wouldnโt. Even though spar varnish is for outdoor use, it wonโt last in a continuously wet environment. You can get paint for tiles or have a pro come in and spray it.
What kind of file
I would use a Rustoleum tile refinishing kit. I used one to refinish a sink and it worked great! Good luck!
I know rustoleum sells a tub painting kit
