Rejuvenate or Howard’s would be my recommendation. If it isn’t bad maybe OrangeGlo or lemon oil will bring back to life.

If they are stained, you can lightly sand and restain
Did you get them “restored” yet?
in my experience, by the time one scrubs all the cooking vapors off of the uppers, their factory finish is looking bad.
Then I typically, prep and paint them with kitchen-grade enamel paint, if they are Builders Grade cabinets.
Hi! Do you want to paint or stain? Whatever you do, start by scrubbing them clean with a TSP type cleaner so that you don't have to strip and/or sand layers of kitchen grime before you get to the factory finish you'll need to deal with to update. A simple update would be a good cleaning and new hardware. Consider hardware before a new finish, too, because you may have holes to fill before completing. Good luck!
