How can I make old Lamp Shades into something else?
I don't want to use my old lamp shades for a lamp. Any ideas on what I can turn them into?
Hello. I would use them to make a tropical art piece either 3d or applied to a canvas depending on my display space needs
Maybe some garden decor like dragonflies or palm trees:

Screw /glue them into a fan shape on a panel. Makes them into a screen.
Use them to create a faux palm tree. for your deck or yard. A wooden pole or pvc pipe could be used as the trunk - add some lights for nighttime.
Make a dragon fly. Use an old spindle chair leg for the body. Add antennas & eyes.
Hi Liz, they always remind me of oversized feathers, so you could play around with that and paint them to look like a giant feather, something like this but on a larger scale https://za.pinterest.com/pin/287174913722929873/
Hello Liz,
You might like to use them to surround the back of a Mirror or Picture or Clock. You could use them to make a Lampshade (attached to a frame) You could use individually as the centre for a picture, or as a wall hanging with floral spray, or as a Door Wreath tied to a frame, or use as the backing for a house number etc. Best wishes.

Keep in mind that if you do choose to use the blades in an outdoor project, as they were not manufactured to be used outdoors, they might not last long if exposed to weather elements such as rain or wind.
Paint different seasonal scenes on them, or add seasonal decor, for an unusual alternative to a door wreath or porch decor.
