I use a thin rod for mine.
Thin rod and make sure you have the width you need to make the sheers look nice.
I would look at Amazon for the right kind of curtain rod for the application. They make swing arm rods and more solid rods for doors etc. It really depends on where you want to hang it.

How to hang any curtains depends largely on the surface you are wanting to mount them on to. The material (wood, metal, etc.) will determine the best hardware needed.
Please post a picture of the window you would like to hang the sheers on, so that we can see what sort of space limitations you are working with.
Are you hanging these in front of windows or are these purely decorative? What kind of wall type do you have, drywall, block, plaster? Are you going to use a curtain rod? Generally speaking, you'll need some wall anchors and screws.
For our sheer curtains, we used thin tension rods, worked perfectly and no holes in the window frame. Keep in mind a completely extended curtain will not look right, you need to have gatherings at least half to the full width of the window.
The type of curtains at the top will determine the type of rod you use to hang them. Most of the time you will hang them on the inside of other curtains or drapes so that you cannot see the edges or rod.

Hi RoseAnn. I already had drapes up, so I used a tension rod to hang my sheers from. I suggest using twice as much sheer as the width of the window. Good luck RoseAnn.
Hello,
You can use Cheap Curtain wires or Expanding Curtain Rods, or Hooks and a piece of Dowelling to thread your Sheer Curtains on to. Hope that helps.
It depends on your current window situation in the past we hung drapery with shears using a double expandable curtain rod. It all depends on the situation present at your window.
Hi RoseAnn, hope these help you out,

Hi! If they are the only curtain, just hang them on a regular rod. If they will be under heavier curtains, install a double rod. Tension rods can also work. Good luck and stay safe!
