Hi! The least noticeable storage is in furniture that had storage. For example, a large storage ottoman or trunk for use as a coffee table, bench seats, etc. Also utilize under bed and under furniture for hidden storage. For example, in my small house, I have a bench by the front door to sit on, with drawers for gloves and baskets underneath for shoes. I also have a large ottoman as a coffee table, that opens up. Under the bed are bins that slide under for storage. Look at the options you have that work for your space. Good luck and stay safe!
Try using a pretty room divider screen to hide an extra clothes rack.
Hello, I agree with all of Cynthia's ideas. In addition, you might consider covering cardboard boxes with pretty fabric and use them for storage. They can be very attractive and so can be seen and easily accessible and placed in various areas such as in bookcases or used as end tables, etc.
Maybe hang some curtains to make a box/storage type space and then place a couch in front of one side of it. Then get some storage shelves, etc. to put inside this curtained off space.
I've used the square upholstered cubes as storage end tables and the long end of bed style storage cube works well as a coffee table. Another thing I've used is very tall bookcases and put doors on the lower half for hidden storage or use the fabric cubes on the shelves.
If you have a couch or a chair that has some minor storage space below it, that might be a place to put your flat items. If you would like to disguise that, maybe a skirt around the bottom of that furniture. Air vacuum bags take the air out of garments and other fabric things to be stored, might help you out. They are available at Bed Bath and Beyond, Amazon, DIY stores.
If you have a entertainment center with an area for baskets, you could also use that space.
Hello,
Hide things behind a Dressing /room divider screen.
I would get zip up plastic containers (the ones that sheets usually come in) and slide those under the couch. I would for sure get a large ottoman to use as a coffee table that had storage in it. You could also get a second square ottoman that has storage in it. You could also get a wall divider that could hide a dresser for example. You could also get an armoir to hold clothes that would just be part of the furniture in the living room.

You can use the room under the bed, I used to do that and it really was a big hep for me. I was storing all my off season clothing there.
Here are some examples of dual/multi purpose furniture pieces with hidden/built in storage, that would be floor-space-saving in a small condo.
Multi-purpose furniture is a great solution as it’s got built in storage without looking like storage is everywhere.

One possibility that might work is to use multi-funtioning furniture. Such as an ottaman with storage and perhaps a tray to serve drinks on; end tables with good storage and smaller ssized furniture perhaps painted in a tone close to the wall or floor color. Also plexiglass tables or chairs don't take up much space visually and will help your room look less crowded. Mirrors also help to brighten and make rooms look larger.
Here are some more examples:
There are so many helpful & inexpensive suggestions that I wanted to also contribute! When I had to live in the military barracks I found the best way to make privacy & a safe haven nook was to use the bunk bed upside down & use some antique trunks I had my belongings shipped in to slide under for storage & a way of stepping up onto the bed in the corner with my locker placed up against the bed at the headboard end where I could read or sleep without seeing the roommate’s side of the room. You could use this same principle & make a Morrocan hideaway & also create a room on the other side for storage by using bookcases for “walls” & store extra shoes at the bottom & purses & folded t-shirts & other clothing items with belts in baskets - think outside the box & it might be trial & error til you get your place practical & with lots of character! Good luck experimenting! 👍☺️
