also make sure your dryer vent/duct is cleaned out and also your ac/furnace filter on a regular basis
Depending on where you live, your home might be quite dry in these winter months. Get a good humidifier that you clean regularly (to avoid other allergens possibly emitting) that will help keep dust down by adding moisture to the air in your space.
Make sure you have a carpet outside of entrance and inside as well then wash every week. Have you vacuumed your vents? I also use vent dust catchers. Is there anyway to see if owner changes furnace vents and what quality they are? You may find that it's an issue. But vacuum vents once a well after you dust with damp towel to not ruin wood furniture. Then vacuum even floors that don't have carpet.
Seal openings as much as possible. Caulk and update weatherstripping. Add a humidifier. Use microfiber dusters that "grab" the dust rather than redistribute it into the air. Remove shoes before entering.

If your house has central unit HVAC but Filtrate Filters at Costco. They are the absolute best at taking care of dust. The ones at Sams are not rated as high. A pulmologist told me to use those filter to filter out dust and germs
Hi! Check the seals on your windows and doors, too. Stay safe!
Hello. Changing your hvac filters frequently at scheduled intervals can help.
Hi Jenifer,
Close doors & windows and get rid of pets. That leaves humans, (they shed skin all the time too.) You could get a machine to remove the dust from the air!
Here are some tips that will help:

Dust offer, use an upholstery brush to clean soft furniture, drapes, blinds. Change furnace or a/c filters regularly, drop your shoes at the door to decrease foreign matter coming into your home. There are mechanical air filters on the market to reduce dut and pollen in the air that are free standing.
I use a negative ion generator in my home to keep dust, mold, dander and allergens down in my home. Get the kind that have the blades you pull out and wipe out versus the hepa filters which can get expensive. https://www.target.com/p/envion-ionic-pro-turbo-air-purifier/-/A-10468783#lnk=sametab
If you have a furnace, change the filters in it, and I have purchased ones that remove allergens, bacteria and viruses for clients for a healthier home.
