Defogging glasses?
With everyone wearing masks now, does anyone have a DIY way to defog my glasses. Using the wire across the nose on the mask does not work for me:(

Take a little shampo and rub it on the lenses all over let it dry they will not fog
You could try rain repellent (RainEx), it is typically used on windshieldss for the same reason.
I have the same problem, Eileen and I find it's worse when I've been outside, where it's cold and then come in. I tried folding a tissue and putting it across the bridge of my nose, under the mask and it helped. It didn't solve the problem completely, but it helped.
Isn't it crazy?!?! They are selling a solution that you wipe on the lenses that is supposed to help.
Here are supposedly 16 foolproof methods...but I have to tell you, I am struggling, too. Good luck! https://www.contrado.com/blog/how-to-stop-glasses-from-fogging/
Eileen at the business where I work my boss purchased all of us what are called "neck gaiters" and everyone here who has glasses says they work much better and don't fog up their glasses near so bad. They're basically a little scarf so when we breathe our breath can go down around our necks instead of up under our glasses. Its not perfect but it is much better than regular masks. Here's a link to the one I'm currently wearing: https://amzn.to/2NCXWjY
I purchased a cleaner and polish from the eye doctor. It's a bit thick, you rub it on and then polish off with a microfiber cloth. It helps to remove tiny scratches as well as inhibit fog.
Hi Eileen, hee's some tips I found that may assist you.

Feel your frustration, I wear glasses too. However I need the metal clip as that's what is best for me. Unless a solution is purchased from an ophthalmologist, my fear would be chemical off gassing too close to my eyes. You have a bunch of remedies here, something must work. I use the snorkel and scuba diver trick, spit on your lenses and wipe off. I get a couple hours at the time out this method.
I find that the soap and water really works the best. I wash them right before I put them on.
Wipe on some shaving cream on the glasses and buff off.
Hello. This is a very good question. I suffer from the same consequence. This week I viewed a home improvement program that seem to have a solution for protective eyewear. I am hoping it will help for eyeglasses as well. It is the same one that William in the response above suggests =shaving cream.
