Can acrylic paint be used on ceramic teapots for garden decor?
I have some white ceramic teapots. I want to paint designs on them, and hang from a shepard's hook for garden decor. Should I use acrylic paint? If so, do I need to also use a clear spray sealer?

Yes, you can use acrylic paint. Here is a link that applies to ceramic tiles as well as pieces made of ceramics:

Yes, you can, but DO make sure you seal it well with a sealer made for outdoors.
You can, but it will need to be sealed with an outdoor sealer. Krylon may work for it.
Yup. An outdoor sealer will be important to make your finish last.
You'll want to use an outdoor sealant
That is a great idea. It should work and using an outdoor sealer will make it last longer. You might also consider adding some weight inside it to keep it from swaying in the wind.
I would use prar Outdoor sealer. It is used for marine boats and would work great.
If you’ve got the acrylic paints, then use them.
I would use enamel spray paint in this method:
spray the shaken paint at an angle into the cap, making a pool of paint.
Use either a natural bristle brush or Q-tips as brushes. Some plastic crafts brushes will melt with enamel paint.
They make outdoor craft paint: https://www.michaels.com/decoart-patio-paint-outdoor/10216521.html?r=g&cm_mmc=PLASearch-_-google-_-MICH_Shopping_US_N_Craft+%26+Hobbies_N_Smart_BOPIS_N-_-&Kenshoo_ida=&kpid=go_cmp-9972406265_adg-99939223639_ad-433378147590_pla-981059439317_dev-c_ext-_prd-10216521&gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7yCBhDJARIsAMWFScNHlL2uUZeKNStivrPX7KLB6Ypu3Xu9ZMJo6T70S4wABjCbNOyXuBoaAooNEALw_wcB
Yes but they will need to be sealed to protect them from the outside elements.
You might want to lightly sand the tea pots first and then use sealer after the acrylic paint.
Hello. You can though it might not be ideal. Enamel might be a better choice.I have used it for painted rocks, glass Christmas ornament balls and more
Yeah you can paint them and use a sealer. How long it lasts is questionable. Sharpie markers may work better.
Go to a craft store and get some model type paint. A oil based enamel would be the best. No need to clear coat
