Ideas for ceiling covering
I have a house with a sloped internal ceiling. It has wooden beams roughly 800cm apart. There are 10 bays in total. The old particle board in between is showing all the nails now and I'm wondering if I could use extra wide brown wrapping paper (extra wide wallpaper is very hard to get in New Zealand) as a base to cover them rather than nailing/glueing more hardboard on top? And then just paint with a white paint. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Jay

Hello Jean,
Had you thought to Spackle over the holes. Let dry, rub down smooth and then paint?
I would try to repair the nail pops instead of covering with paper.
Hi Jean, until you solve the nail problem, you're likely to continue to have issues. Here's some advice from a pro who suggests using screws.
