My daughter is in competitive dance and throughout Covid and the quarantine we've had to get her a few things, so she could dance comfortably at home on Zoom. Some of the dance stores will sell 'tap pads' which are pads that they can tap on and not damage the floor. Plus, it gives them an accurate sound while they're tapping. Amazon sells ballet barres at great prices. I would also look for an inexpensive mirror, so she can look at herself for correct form.

What's an inexpensive way to create a dance floor on plywood surface?
You can frame it with 2x4 and them use plywood for the floor. You will need to reinforce with 2x4 across since it will have a lot of traffic. Stain and seal with polyurethane.

I would frame it with 2x6 to the shape you want. Cover with plywood and then cover the plywood with what ever floor finish you want. Build directly on existing floor
build a platform out of 2x4 and cover with plywood cut to your size. There are websites that provide dancing floor depending genre
Hi there,
Use an old Pallet. Cover with MDF on top and sides and then paint to suit.
Hi! When my granddaughter was small, her dad built a small corner stage for her from plywood and 2x4's. He painted it black. The best part was when she outgrew it, it was easy to disassemble. It was basically a triangle frame with a plywood floor. It fit nicely in the corner. Good luck!
