Hi Sharon I would start with plain dish soap and hot water and scrubbing and then spray it (or wipe it on) white vinegar. As long as the vinegar doesn't get on the plants beneath it it should help keep the mold at bay without hurting the plants beneath it.
Cover the flowers with plastic and then use a vinegar solution to clean the mold. 50/50 vinegar and water should do it.
Hi Sharon, beelow is a link for various ways to remove mold using more natural products. To keep the process from harming your flowers, you could cover the plant area with a large plastic drop coth or garbage bad and tape firmly around the milbox post to insure none of the cleaning product toches your flowers. If you work quickly, the plastic won't affect your plants. Hope this helps you!

I’ve used Simple Green with no issues. Do try a small test and wait to see first.
Window cleaner works. It is not mold it is algae.
I would cover the plants below the mailbox with a tarp or some type of heavy cover you can stake it up so you won't break the plants then use something like vinegar to clean the mailbox and a soft scrubby pad then rinse well

Dish soap won’t harm flowers. A mixture of 3 tablespoons of dish soap combined with 1 gallon of water will safely clean the porch without harming surrounding plants. When choosing which liquid dish soap to use, make sure it doesn’t contain unnecessary ingredients such as bleach or fragrances.
I clean mold with warm white vinegar and Dawn Platinum. Works great and will not harm flowers

Many of the deck cleaning chemicals might be suggested you could always put a dropcloth such as a dollar store plastic tablecloth around your flowers and plants to protect them.
Just scrub it off with a little soap and water

More than likely it is algae, either power wash it off or scrub with mild soap and water. For the tight places use an old toothbrush.
Hi Sharon, here's an all natural mold killing recipe you can try - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tbFYrAVSSE. I would put a plastic sheet over the flowers while you apply it just in case.
A mild bleach and water solution in a spray bottle. You will have to scrub it off the first time, then periodically spray the area. Just be careful..
