How can I put a clear glossy finish on floor tile?
I have a back room off my kitchen that I'd like to use as a craft room. It has a built in counter top that was in pretty bad shape so we covered it with ceramic floor tiles. I'm happy with the results but I want to put some type of clear, glossy, protective finish over it, like a lacquer or glaze.
I think a clear shiny top coat would not only look nice, it would also seal the grout and make the surface very easy to clean. My question is, do they make such a product and, if so, what is it called, how is it applied and where can I get it?
I'd appreciate any/all suggestions, ideas or advice. I don't have much experience with tile and I'm not sure what type of product I should use. Thanks !!

There are a variety of products you can use to seal and protect your tile, from basics to epoxy. It all depends on how shiny and how much work you want it to involve. I would go to Home Depot or Lowe's in inquire. They have an aisle full of products .

Realize this is for a floor but same basic idea on much smaller basis:

Two part epoxy resin would do it.

Gloss polyurethane would work fine. Any paint store , even Walmart carries it.
Use a tile sealer. You can get it at Home Depot etc.
For standard tile cleaning without leaving a film, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar to 1 gallon of warm water, but increase the vinegar to a full cup if the tile countertop appears dull. Clean the entire surface, rinsing with clean water. Finish up with a wipe down of club soda to make the tiles shine.
Tile and grout sealant. You can find where you purchased your tile.
Hi Kimm, you can use a tile and grout sealer. You'll find it at most hardware stores and it's really easy to apply with a brush or a roller.
Hello Kimm, that's beautiful! Hope this helps you out,
