Are you wanting a kitchen table a particular exact size, or made out of a specific kind of wood?
If not, then in this case it may not be cheaper to diy.
Considering how much the cost of lumber and materials has gone up recently, unless you already have all the necessary tools and supplies for the project, it may be more cost effective to purchase a second hand table.
