Repurposing Jeans Into Kitchen Decor

What will you need?

• Jeans
• Fabric
• Sewing Machine
• Scissors or Cutting Mat/Rotary Cutter
• Thread

Written Directions for Repurposing Jeans Into Kitchen Decor

If pictures are not your thing…

1. Cut two 7 inch squares from your jeans.
2. Cut one 6 1/2 inch square from your Spoonflower fabric.
3. Sew them together leaving the outer half inch of the jean squares untouched.
4. Quilt a little in the middle. Add a heart or whatever is clever.
5. Trim your strings.
6. Cut around the edge every smidgen you can into the first stitch without cutting it.

• Thread
• Ready Made Bobbins – I am not a fan of making my own bobbins so I LOVE these.
• Fabric Scissors – These are great because they cut through multiple layers of fabric.
• Pin Cushion and Pins – The cuter the better. I love this hedgehog.
• Poly-FIl Stuffing for Pillows
• Poly-Pellets for Bean Bags and Weighted Projects – The POUR bag makes all the difference.
• Rotary Cutter and Mat

Ta Da! The finished decor for the kitchen is not only super adorable but also totally usable.

I used some more of the materials to embellish this dish towel.

I am in love with the frayed part at the bottom. It was worn over many steps…many many steps.

And then a slice of the leg to make this fun decor for a jar.
