Kitchen Renovation
by

The kitchen is 90% done, it's the last 10% that is driving me nuts! Apart from the tiling that will hopefully be finished this week, I need to paint, get the floor sanded, fix the lights and find a window treatment.
Any advice re the lights and window treatments would be most welcome.

Lori Jackson on Jul 10, 2016Love your window--natural light is a natural commodity. We have a huge window and a similar issue. I went with airy white eyelet cafe curtains. I like them open, but when my husband closes them--a tremendous amount of light still filters through and privacy issues are well addressed.

Bonnie on Jul 10, 2016I've put mirror/reflective film on my windows above my sink and besides greatly cutting down on bright, hot sunlight, it gives me complete privacy during the day. If I open the windows, that small space with less privacy hardly matters; or if people are out there, I just slide over my lightweight curtain(s) to cover the opening. I love that film & have used it on my busy-street-facing living room windows also!
