Scrap Wood Wreath

Using a few small wood scraps and a spindle, I created a festive wreath for the holidays.
I am using red, green, and ocean blue as my decor theme this year for Christmas so I created a wreath in those colors.
I cut a 1x4 into 6 1/2 inch pieces and painted them bright green.
I then cut 6 pieces from a 1x2 into 6" lengths and painted them blue.
I arranged the pieces into a hexagon on a hexagon. I hot glued them together for a TEMPORARY hold and then secured it with screws from the back.
I cut a spindle into discs and painted them red. I secured these with a brad nail gun. A bow made from a piece of pillow ticking fabric completed this fun and different wreath! Check out more 12 Days of Christmas posts on the blog!
