I've been playing around with an idea for making fluffy sheep Christmas ornaments for many years--since I was a teenager, in fact. But I never got around to doing it until my daughter had a teacher named Mrs. Shepard. How could I resist the opportunity?
Isn't he just so cute? Just a little fimo dough, some yarn, and some Styrofoam sheet were needed to make this little guy. Really, I used foam insulation sheet from the hardware store!
No fancy sculpting skills necessary to make the clay bits; if you can channel your inner kindergartner and roll some long snakes and spheres, you can totally handle this.
The secret to the wool coat? Nubbly, textured yarn. No sewing involved in this craft, just a few quick dabs of glue with a low temperature glue gun.
