3-Printed Christmas Ornaments for the Holidays

How technologically advanced are your Christmas ornaments? Seems like an odd question but 3-D printers are becoming mainstream. These expensive printers have lowered their prices and upped their usability. Artists, engineers, and even fashion designers are excitedly nodding their heads at 3-D printers. It’s become so popular that even the White House had to give it props.
In fact, the White House and Smithsonian recently held a 3-D Printed Ornament Challenge that called out to creative individuals to make a holiday themed ornament. They had a total of 300 submissions but five for hand picked to be displayed in the White House.
After the Holiday season these five ornaments will be exhibited at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History’s state-of-the-art 3D data platform. They will also have the honor of being displayed in the political history division, as part of the White House’s ornaments.
