The Pond Gnome
(IC: professional)
Originally a spec home being build by an architect, this home is now loved by an owner. The goal of the home was to build in as many "green" building techniques as possible. One of those techniques as our rainwater harvesting system, complete with underground storage so that all you see is beauty! The harvested water is recirculated, keeping it fresh and biologically available for wildlife.

The stream disappears into the underground storage, where it's recirculated to keep the harvested water fresh and biologically available for wildlife.

Jeannette on Feb 15, 2015I sure would like to know the mechanics of this "storage" facility for rain H2o under the ground & how you actually get it to "recycle" & How much rain you typically would need for this project to be successful. Would love a "HOW TO" on this... or is my browser acting up AGAIN & I just don't see it ? LOVE the idea for wild life & conservation of water just not sure HOW to get in My back yard.THANX Much !
