How I Patched a Drywall Hole With One of My Beauty Products

After a rowdy New Years party left me with a coin-sized hole in my living room wall, I raided my makeup bag for the perfect patch. Here's what I did...
The hole was a bit too big and deep for spackle alone, and I didn't have any mesh or paper tape handy for the patch.
But I did have makeup sponges on hand! Just your run-of-the-mill drugstore variety will work. The whole bag cost about $4.
I trimmed the sponge with scissors so it fit nicely into the drywall hole.
Then I spackled the wall and sanded it smooth. All I need now is a little paint, and my wall will be as good as new.
