Cork Trivet Wall Decor

While I was standing in line waiting to check out at Ikea, inspiration struck. I saw a packet of three cork trivets and I decided they would look great hung on the wall. My idea was that they would work similar to a cork board, but would look much more stylish.
Turned out, I was right! (That doesn't always happen.) I hung the three trivets in a vertical line just using a couple of strips of double-sided tape for each trivet.
Like a regular cork board, you just use push pins to hang up whatever you like! I got a little creative and pinned up a carnation to dry on one of the trivets. I like that it adds some texture.
The versatility of this project really makes it fun. You can swap out whatever you pin up whenever you want. Theme what you pin by holiday throughout the year or just stick with items that match your decor.
I themed my cork trivets with the idea of spring. A pink floral postcard, a nature-themed postcard and a live carnation complete the look.
I hope you enjoyed this simple project. Please show me your creations if you decide to try it!
