Children's Museum Storybook Soiree 2014 - Toy Chest

I was donated a hope chest to restore and paint for the Storybook Soiree that happened on September 5, 2014 at 7pm.
The theme was Charlotte's Web, but I really don't like that story because it's depressing so decided to do a more general children's toy chest.
The piece is solid wood with new hinges and is stark white with a grey lettering that says, "a good toy: (n.) ninety percent child, ten percent toy." I didn't add any other colors so it can go in any room and be either for a little boy or a little girl.
It sold for $315.

Before.
Just sanded it down real well, drew my design, and painted!
I love letting wood grain show in my designs.
