Repurposing a Antique Surveying Transit Tripod
by

Cleaning out our shed this weekend and found a great antique, a surveying transit tripod!
Wonderful details.
Gorgeous legs!!
Dear h's dad worked on the highway that ran through here many moons ago and this was one of the tools he acquired. He was the foreman and worked on so many roads that run through Oregon.
My first thought was to use it as a plant stand. A fake plant, lol so no hating on the fakiness, lol. This plant and one other ivy is all I have and the other is in use right now.
And even though the ivy is fake, I love the look!
And it is a great way to honor h's dad. He passed away two years ago. Even the h liked it! Stop by and say hi and leave a comment!
Enjoyed the project?
