For our granddaughter's outdoor Boho Chic style wedding, we made this backdrop out of three old doors from the Restore. We made the HUGE flowers, too! It is all easier than it looks and it came out beautifully!
Yup, we made the doors into the backdrop then styled them up with outsize flowers.
Painting crew in the sunshine. The heat and light reflecting up off those doors was amazing.
Dry brushing with black paint brought out all the details. Canning jar lids cover the door knob holes. Regular door hinges hook all three doors up so they will stand together.
White paint and dry brushing makes all three doors compatible and perfect for a boho style wedding.
Flowers and garlands and doors, oh my!
The whole idea of the doors and the paper flowers and the garlands and the real flowers in urns came together beautifully. I'll be posting about making those huge flowers next!

Anna Ibarra on Jun 16, 2015This is aboslutely gorgeous. I love this look. I made one for a friend's daughter w/a wooden screen, but bride wanted colors and she preferred it done it differently. I would have preferred this shabby chic look.
