You can easily cut metal ceiling tiles like these with tin snips. $10 at any home center. Cutting torches are uncommon and expensive. Beware -- most ceiling tiles are not tin, but steel. Thus, rust is an issue. Test with a magnet. If it sticks, it is steel.
