Makeup Vanity Transformation

There’s just something about a makeup vanity. They seem so fancy.

I found this one out treasure hunting (thrift shopping) and I saw it had some real potential.

I had my husband cut the top crown part of the mirror off as I wasn’t feeling that vibe.

I cleaned it, scuff sanded it and did two coats of primer.

Finally, it was time for some COLOR!

I chose this deep, rich green from Wise Owl One Hour Enamel in Charleston Green. This paint has a built in top coat and for a clean finish this is a great choice in paint. It’s great for doors and cabinets too.

It dries pretty fast so I chose to use a roller to apply the paint.

I usually put foil in my paint tray so I can just toss it once I’m done and not have to clean the tray.

It took three coats of paint for full coverage.

I sprayed the hardware in Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze and added wallpaper to the drawers as liners.

Cutting the top off that mirror and adding paint truly gave it the modern update it deserved!

It is SO nice to see your lovely makeover looking fresh and clean, NOT distressed. I was a little upset when I saw you had your hubby cut the top off the mirror but seeing the finished project I think you made the correct decision, it looks wonderful.
