Purchased an old doll cradle at a yard sale. It was in pretty bad shape. Needed a few repairs, and joints tightened.
I tightened and glued all the loose joints. Removed the plywood and pull out the nails.
Next I painted it with Kilz and then painted the whole thing white.
Next I cut thin batting to wrap around the floor, stapled it in place and then covered with tiny rose bud printed fabric I cut from an old sheet. On each finial post I glued a half pearl to a vintage glass button and used hot glue to attach one button to the top of each post, for a little sparkle.
Then I decoupaged a rose print with Mod Podge to the inside headboard that I printed on my printer and added a little Tim Holz metal crown and few pearls.
On the outside of the headboard I did the same thing with a little french print. I tore all the edges to give a soft edge to the prints.
Around the bottom I added some heart motif lace from Tresor De Luxe. They sell the most gorgeous laces.
Of course my cat had to check it all out to make sure everything was done right. I plan to use the cradle to keep my teddy bear collection inside.
