I had some pallets laying around my backyard and knew I wanted to create a fun outdoor bar with them.

We recently redid our deck and added a deck extension. The pallet bar was the perfect finishing touch to hide the electrical and gas meters.

Just using the pallet and some scrap wood I had laying around, I was able to make an awesome bar that worked great this summer!

I started by cutting down the pallet to just use the back portion. I then cut down an old table I had to use the top and legs.

I flipped it over to attach the top piece and fit the pallet and legs into the top.

Using the pallet, I then screwed in two pieces of 2x6 to create a shelf.

To close off the sides, I attached some old deck boards.

I then added two small 2x4 pieces on the deck to create a sturdy level base.

I finished it off with some black paint and stained the pallet the same color as my deck.

I loved the color combo.

I absolutely love how it turned out and how it finished off the deck. It’s the perfect hangout place on the deck but is small enough it isn’t in the way.
