Iron table legs for a wood table
How can I create a rustic table with wrought iron legs. I have a 3 foot round of wood from a tree cut on our property and wanted to make a small table. The piece is 3 feet across and about 7 inches wide and quite heavy. Made of ash. Do you know where to get iron or wooden legs to use or this project?

Hello. Quite often hairpin legs are overused and there are so many other interesting designs. Here’s a link to offer you some alternative considerations

Had to look up the difference between wrought iron and cast iron, found it pretty interesting, ref below the link:
Differences Between Cast Iron and Wrought Iron
Aside from their nuances in composition, there are other differences between cast iron and wrought iron. As previously mentioned, they are produced in different ways. Cast iron is made through casting, whereas wrought iron is made by heating and bending or working iron multiple times. As a result, most metalworking companies will agree that cast iron is easier to produce than its wrought iron counterpart.
Wrought iron is also stronger than cast iron. Each time wrought iron is heated and worked, it becomes a little stronger. Because of its strength, wrought iron is often used in commercial applications.
While wrought iron is stronger, cast iron is harder than its counterpart. It’s able to resist deformation under pressure or stress with greater ease than wrought iron.

I looked up Amazon to see what they would have in wrought iron, yet they showed cast iron

You can buy hairpin legs on Amazon. If you want wood legs, try a salvage place.
I would start scouring places like the Habitat store and thrift stores as well as marketplace for tables that are reasonable. Some of them have a good base but the top is in bad shape.
I ordered some from https://semiexact.com/.
Hubby is using a wood round to make a make up table for me. We got hairpin legs at amazon. The sleek black look is timeless and black goes with everything plus they are very strudy and their small size doesn't distract from the beauty of the wood.
I looked online and Lowes and Home Depot sell metal legs for tables - also Amazon

Hello Jane, you can get metal legs on Amazon, or other online sellers

Wow, I bet that will be a fabulous top! Lots of places you could check: Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or neighborhood related FB groups, thrift stores, architectural salvage stores, or try an online search.
Amazon sells both.
I would visit a local metal working shop, or a wrought iron fence company, or even a local welder to make you some legs. You might also check on Etsy.com
great suggestions -thanks
