How do I get white socks white again, I have used bleach, spray and wash and they are still a little brown on the bottoms. There has to be a way to make them white again. I’m tired of buying new socks all the time.

That's what happens to white socks after awhile. They stay white longer if you only wear them in shoes. Try soaking them in cool water with oxi clean or bleach, then wash.

Dont use hot water, it sets the stain. Unfortunately once you've had them in heat like a dryer, the stain is set.

  • My remedy is baking soda or hydrogen peroxide. Heat sets stains. So if still not white, rewash or re soak. Once in the dryer, it's all over.

I love to use vinegar and baking soda. Cold water is a must.

Bleach tends to make whites dingy, dirty looking, and breaks down the fibers. Soak the dirty socks in a 50/50 mix of warm water and hydrogen peroxide. Then wash as usual. I wash my whites with hydrogen peroxide and detergent. Oxygen cleaners are peroxide based.
