How to Remove Yellow Moisture Stain from White Furniture?
Hello - First of all, thank you in advance for your help. I have a beautiful white wood dresser from Ethan Allen and made the mistake of placing a circular planter on the dresser, with cardboard between the planter and the dresser, while I awaited a protective plate I had ordered. The cardboard got moist, and I now have a faint but visible yellow circular stain on the dresser. After reading Ethan Allen's care guide, I first tried wiping the stain with a very damp towel (no luck) and then I used a damp towel with a small amount of mild dish soap (no luck). I have read some articles suggesting to try a little bit of baking soda mixed with water, but I am worried about this damaging the wood. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

How can you remove a water stain from a wooden night stand?
It is a light water stain.
I would try a very mild solution of Spray Nine. Rub it into the stain. If not use oxi power.

Give Ethan Allen a call and ask them what to do. They have a customer support line.
I would think a combo of vinegar and baking soda would not hurt the finish and might take out the stain HOWEVER I would definitely double check with Ethan Allen first, their finishes are pretty notorious for being very finicky.

How to Remove Water Stains From Wood
Baking soda is an abrasive and I would not use it without checking with Ethan Allen first. I'm sorry this happened to your dresser.
I would try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Do not scrub---just apply even light pressure. I've used one on a stain on a desk and it worked. Good luck!
I'm not sure if this would work since the stain is more yellow than white: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbg_91_ngRA
looks like you may have to resand the tops and repaint.
Place a cloth over the stain. An iron set to medium heat and iron over the cloth. May take a few passes.
Hi Emily, you can try this, even try dry baking soda on it first,
Mix 1/2-cup baking soda with 1/4-cup water to make a paste. Dip a damp sponge, soft toothbrush or nylon-bristled scrub brush into the paste. Scrub the yellowed spots gently. Leave the baking soda on the cabinet for 5 minutes.

Hello there,
What you need to do is dry out the wood that has absorbed some of the damp from the plant. You can do that by sprinkling talc or flour or salt onto the area and leave for a while to do it's work. If necessary, repeat process. Good luck!
Hello Emily,
Place brown paper on top of wood and use a warm iron to suck up the moisture from the wood. Had you thought to ask the manufacturer what they suggest you do?
you would need to sand and varnish again
I agree with giving Ethan Allen a call.
