Hi everyone, I needed a flower box and did not have the ability to get wood right now ( with the quarentine) so I had to think outside the box literally lol.

My Supplies

Here are my supplies I had most of the supplieseon hand. I got the flower foam at the dollar store. I found an old crate in the barn., Some silk greenery, silk flowers, my wire snips and glue gun and a hanger.

Hanger

I screwed the hanger in the middle of the back of the crate. Since I am not using this for real flowers I just used a D ring hanger. For dirt and real flowers you would need a couple more substantial hangers.

Gluing

I literally just began gluing my foam to the bottom of the crate. And then arranged my greenery and flowers as I wanted them. I added some little flags from the dollar store too for the Summer months. This will be fun to change up for the seasons.

DIY FLOWER BOX

I put this on my porch as I was needing something a little larger for this space.

If you were to add real flowers to this you would want to line it and drill holes in the bottom for drainage.
