Hello! Welcome to my Cottage in the Mitten! Today, I am so excited to be sharing my Easter table along with some of my very talented blogging buddies, hosted by my friend, Pasha from Pasha is Home. If you are coming here from my friend Aliya at Open Doors Open Hearts, didn’t she share the prettiest thrifty blue and white table!? Just beautiful! I’ll be sharing How to Create a Simple Blue and Pink Easter Table with all of you. First, if you’re new here, let me share a little bit about myself.

My name is Kim and I am a native Michigander. I love all things home decor, a pretty table, DIY, sewing, a hot cup of tea and spending time with my precious family! I also make blankets for a cause hoping to help find a cure for brain tumors. You can read all about that in The Journey.

Well, enough about me! Let me show you my Easter table!

Creating My Simple Blue & Pink Easter Table Theme

I’m more of a traditional girl, so pink, blue, green and yellow are all colors that remind me of Easter. I especially love pink and incorporate it into many of my table settings and Easter is no exception. You can see how I used pink in my blog post How To Set An Easy Easter Table, from last year.

Like I said, pink always makes me think of Easter and I just think it’s such a happy color.

Don’t you agree?

Anyhow, in anticipation of spring, I have been transitioning some of my home decor into blues.

So I thought, why not combine my love for pink and my new love for blue into my Easter table setting.

My Easter Table Linens

When creating my tablescapes, I typically use a table runner. Personally, I just think they work well with my farm table. For my Easter table, I started with a cream colored table runner that I already had. It’s one of my favorites, so versitale and works with so many different table settings. Repurposing your decor definitely helps save money.

Do you have some favorite pieces like that?

Those pieces can look so different depending on what type of centerpiece or table setting you decide to use. So don’t worry about over using them. Most people won’t even notice they were used in a previous tablescape.

Next, I layered with some blue woven chargers and these amazing blue and white napkins I found. They were a great price point and I can see myself using these napkins for many occassions.

Minimal Table Decor

Because this table setting was bright and colorful, I chose to use minimal decor on the table. I started with my favorite tray from LampsPlus. It has such pretty beading on the handles. I then used my large dark blue vase and added a few spring faux flowers to it.

Adding a bit of whimsy is always fun!

These little bunny salt and pepper shakers were the perfect color and just the right touch! I also placed a wooden egg at each placesetting. Simple pieces that let you know it’s Easter.

My last decor touch, some blue and white toile pillows on my two dining chairs. I have two benches but I also have two fabric dining chairs that I use on either end of my table.

Do you have fabric dining chairs that you use?

Here’s my little tip…adding a decorative pillow to your chairs will make the chairs look a little more dressy.

Setting the Simple Blue & Pink Table

A couple of months before the pandemic, I bought a set of pink dishes to use for Easter that year. Needless to say, that didn’t happen and those pretty pink dishes stayed tucked away in the cabinet.

Two years later and I am finally going to get to use them for Easter and I’m so happy about it!

I paired those pretty pink beaded dishes with some blue and white bowls I already had. I believe my Easter salad will look perfect in them. I’m so pleased with how it looks and pray it makes my guests feel special too!

Voila! All done.

I hope you enjoyed my simple blue and pink Easter table. My table feels pretty and elegant but was so simple to put together!

Next up is my friend Kim from Shiplap and Shells. She is sharing How To Create A Garden Party Easter Tablescape. Trust me when I say her home is beautiful inside and her gardens are gorgeous!
