A simple and dramatic way to add Halloween charm to your front porch is to remove the glass cover from your porch light and replace it with an inexpensive plastic pumpkin. Cut off the strap, punch or burn a hole above each strap stub, and hook in through the screw holes in the fixture. And nope -- it doesn't melt the plastic!

If you want more light than the dramatic orange glow version gives, you could cut out the black areas.
Up close...
You could ue florists' wire but a couple of large paper clips work just fine.

    I have also done something similar to this to my lamp post and have also added an old costume witches hat!
