Spooky Luminaries

These spooky luminaries are cute and can be made with containers you most likely already have!
About a year ago, I began buying laundry detergent pods. They came in big square containers and once they were empty, I just couldn’t bring myself to throw them out. So I saved them until I could figure out a purpose for them.

Most of the containers I had were orange so naturally I thought jack-o-lanterns and then I thought that a bunch of jack-0-lanterns would just be boring so I decided to branch out with a bit of spray paint and some other supplies I had on hand.
If you want Jack-O-Lanterns and your containers are already orange, there's no need to paint them. Simply cut the eyes, nose and mouth out of black construction paper or cardstock (or you can paint/draw them on).

If you are making other "monsters" you will need to paint the containers.
Once your containers are painted, begin creating the faces by cutting them out of cardstock or construction paper and gluing them on.
When you have finished all of your luminary monsters, insert LED tea lights or battery operated string lights to give them their glow.
