These little little terrariums are easy to make and create a beautiful little garden out on the patio or even indoors on a windowsill. You can use thrift store bottles or recycled jars.
I started out with small glass jars with narrow necks but you could also use recycled glass jars from your kitchen. They need to have a wide neck to fill the bottle.
On each jar I added a rebar wire hanger which is easy to bend around the mouth of the jar. If you are hanging this project outdoors please know the rebar wire does rust... which for me was a bonus!
Fill each of the jars with small pebbles or gravel for drainage then fill to the top with with soil. Be sure not to hang them where they can fill with rain water.

Add small succulents or herbs and you've got yourself an adorable mini terrarium garden.

I filled mine with herbs and succulents then hung them from the gazebo where they will get plenty of light but not too much water!
