How can I pin down/anchor a car seat cover for my dog?

It has elasticized corners and also straps that fit under the ends of the back seat, but these started popping up after less than a week of use by my dog. I can't seem to pull up that seat on my Prius in order to keep the straps in place, and want to tack the cover down somehow. Any ideas?

Have you tried Velcro? I am in the process of making a pet mat for the cargo area of a countryman Mini cooper. and I will probably be face with the same problem. Let me know if you try velcro. Good luck
Not one that would not ruin your upholstery...
most car seats...sort of snap into place.... with a special fastener.... see if you can get your dealer to show you how the seat comes out... then buy some of the nylon strapping from a fabric or upholstery supply and make straps that are customized to hold the seat cover in place.

I'm not sure what you're using for a seat cover. Could you just fold a blanket or quilt the size you need it and tuck the end in the crevice of the car seat. You may have to retuck it periodically.
I have a Honda and use Mexican style serape blankets and bungee cords. Takes some fiddling, but once you get it sorted out, easy to take off and wash when needed.

Velcro might work. Check the directions for your cover online, as there may be a trick to it
I just love the two sided adhesive vercro for this type of problem. Find a smooth surface under the seat (doesn't have to be a very big area, just a inch or two, but the bigger the better) . I would find a place for at least 4 pieces. Then cut the elastic in the middle so you have 4 ends to put the other 4 pieces of velcro on. You want it kind of snug so I would see how long you need each elastic before you stick the velcro on it. I use the Industrial Strength black color a lot (find it in the sewing department or sometimes even hardware). I would leave the pieces apart for a day or two so the adhesive can bond to the seat & I would leave a little slack so it doesn't want to pull apart. The velcro sticks great to most things, especially metal or plastic. I put some pressure on the pieces after I stick them on. Think of how you smooth tape down on a package. Hope this helps. My other idea would be to somehow tie the elastics together. Not cutting them but use another cord under the seat as to form an X . They also have any size of rug pads that are made to keep your area rugs from moving around on top of carpet. I bet a piece of that would help too. Hope these ideas help. :)
