How to Make Plaster Fall Leaves From Fabric Leaves

Hey there. Here is a fun project that I did for my Fall tablescape. It was a lot of fun and I created a lot of plaster leaves for very little cost.
I used the plaster leaves throughout my dining room.
Fabric leaves were purchased in bunches from the dollar store...
Plaster of Paris.
Mixed until creamy smooth.
DO NOT do what I did. I come from a "more is better" world - so to save time, I mixed up a double batch. Terrible idea...the plaster dries very quickly and in no time flat this mixture was no longer usable. This is what it looked like.
I painted each leaf front and back.
I set them out to dry on waxed paper. When they are completely dried they are very smooth with a slight sheen.
Here they are used in my dining room.
