For $3 I DIY's this cute and super affordable Dollar Tree pumpkin into an inexpensive and new door hanger for my front door.

I stumbled upon this $1, yes $1, Dollar Tree wire pumpkin hanger. I just could not resist!

The first step was to spray paint the pumpkin orange. I used 2 different colors of orange that I had on hand in my garage.

I grabbed my hot glue gun, one floral pick that I also bought for $1 at Dollar Tree. And some ribbon I had already in my craft pile.

I cut the ribbon into 4-6 inch strips and tied the burlap ribbon onto the wire near the stem of the pumpkin. But I quickly switched to using the glue gun to simply glue on the ribbon as it was not very durable and the burlap was not tying neatly. Then I snipped the stems off of the florals on the pick and glued them into place tucking them around the ribbon.

I quickly had one cute little pumpkin for my door!

This is a very easy project that can be completed in just 30 minutes.

When you can find super easy and inexpensive supplies to DIY new decor items, it's hard to resist creating new decorations for each holiday!
