Autumn on the Porch

Stop by and take a look at how I created a beautiful arrangement for Fall! In just a few steps, you can have a stunning piece too!
I spotted a floral cone of some sort (I don't know what else to call it!) and knew right away that it would make a gorgeous arrangement for my front door. When I bought the piece it was black, so I wanted to spray paint it white since my front door was also black. In the same shopping trip, I also bought a bunch of decorative wheat. On another occasion, I purchased a dried floral bunch that smelled ah-mazing!! At that moment, it reminded me of Fall.. I had to have it!
Once I was home, I finally spray painted the cone white. I gave it a good two coats and let it dry. Once dry, I took a piece of fine grit sandpaper and roughed it up in spontaneous spots. I knew it would get weathered naturally from hanging on the door, so I kept it light.
I combined my decorative wheat and dried floral bunch and simply sat it into the cone. I made a quick and easy bow using burlap ribbon I already had. I LOVE using clips on my bows so I can easily move or remove them when needed! And that's it!
