Christmas tree decorating is just one of our favorite things to do at Summerhill! But this year we decided to start on the back porch with some nature inspired simple decorations. Join us as we share how we created a Christmas tree that Santa will love to leave gifts under.

Step 1: Begin by collecting the items you will need.

Step 2: Remove the base from your tree if it has one. Put crock in position and fill with bricks leaving a whole for the trunk of the tree.

Step 3: Wrap an old or new quilted white throw around the bottom and tuck it in.

Step 4: Add lights unless it comes with lights already. Then spray the tree with snow spray or flocking spray whichever it is called.

Step 5: Add cotton stems to the tree and a rustic star topper.

Step 6: Add an old or new Father Christmas doll to your tree ensemble. Think nature when shopping for this Santa.

Step 7: Add a seagrass basket and blanket to get that cozy warm feeling. And your back porch festivity is all complete. Happy decorating!
