For my Christmas theme this year I wanted to go in a Nature theme in colors of chocolate brown, copper and gold. I also wanted to incorporate feathers and antlers into the mix. So that decision called for a glittery buck to hang on my wall. Here is my DIY project.
I bought a sheet of poster paper and used the backing off of the picture frame I was going to use as my guide.
I sketched a buck head and chest on the poster paper.
I used a artist brush and brushed on Elmer's Glue inside the lines of my sketch. I used gold glitter to sprinkle all over the sketch.
It took several applications of glitter before all white spaces inside the sketch was covered.
I bought two plastic antlers at Hobby Lobby and spray painted them Metallic Gold.
I placed the sketch of my glitter buck inside the frame and hung a swag over the frame. I added three gold feather picks, two feathers, two antlers and a gold and copper ornament to the swag.
Enjoyed the project?
